70 percent of the people of Turkey are waiting for Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) to come

Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Conversation on A9TV dated December 29th, 2015

ADNAN OKTAR: "Mr. Oktar, when Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) becomes visible to the world, all countries will celebrate his appearance with Islam and peace will come to the whole world. All signs point to the possibility of you being Mahdi." They might point to the possibility of you being Mahdi, as well. A sign doesn't prove anything, only success and evidence do. You can't claim to be Mahdi because of a few signs. Even though all the signs point to you, it doesn't mean anything unless you do everything that is expected of Mahdi. So success and results are what is important, not signs. I would be convinced that a person is Mahdi only if he established the rule of Islam over the world, performed prayer along with Jesus Messiah (pbuh) as his Imam.

"Isn't it unlikely considering your age? Or will Mahdi be someone from your generation?" FatihPaylan. First of all, I am not Mahdi. But as far as I understand, you are asking this question based on an age of 60 years. The Prophet Moses (pbuh) became a prophet when he was 80 year old.Prophethood has nothing to do with age. The subject Our Prophet (saas) emphasized most in his statements is the long lifespan of Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh). It is a well-known subject, a well-known utterance. Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) has a few major characteristics. One of Hazrat Mahdi's (pbuh) marvelous characteristics is his long lifespan. All Shiites, everyone knows this. As a matter of fact, he is compared to other prophets in this regard. For example, he can be compared to the Prophet Noah (pbuh). He has a long lifespan. According to a narrative, he will live up to age of 120. If your standard is 60, it means that he will have another 60 years to achieve his goals. It will be more than enough. Because his world domination will last for seven or nine years. So you should stop worrying about it. Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) will appear, and when he does I will be one of his disciples.

A television program about Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) in Haber Turk [a news channel] has become a top trend. What do you infer from this? When the subject comes to Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh), everything else is put on hold in Turkey. Seventy percent of the people of Turkey are waiting for Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) and believe that he will appear. In the past, that number was 1 percent but now it is 70 percent. How? In 1970s, 1 percent of the people believed that Mahdi would come, but now 70 percent of the people believe in it. Can you guess what it means? In short, stop worrying about it and rest easy. Just wait a little longer.
